The Office Depot Foundation celebrated a monumental achievement this year by donating our 2 millionth backpack through our National Backpack Program, which we launched in 2001.

By donating these backpacks, we strongly believe that we are helping children to build self-confidence, boost self-esteem and achieve greater success in the classroom – all as a result of being well-prepared for school. We are particularly pleased to donate our 2 millionth backpack at a time when so many children and families are dealing with the impact of the economic downturn. We greatly appreciate Office Depot’s continuing sponsorship of this exceptionally meaningful program.
